यदायदा बहिर्यासि पुत्र त्रिचतुरं पदम् । तदातदा मम प्राणः कंठप्राघुणिकी भवेत्

yadāyadā bahiryāsi putra tricaturaṃ padam | tadātadā mama prāṇaḥ kaṃṭhaprāghuṇikī bhavet

เมื่อใดที่เจ้าก้าวออกไปภายนอก ลูกเอ๋ย แม้เพียงสามสี่ก้าว; เมื่อนั้นเองลมหายใจแห่งข้าก็เป็นดุจแขกที่พักอยู่ ณ ลำคอ—พร้อมจะจากไป
