काव्ये निगीर्णे गिरिजेश्वरेण दैत्या जयाशा रहिता बभूवुः । हस्तैर्विमुक्ता इव वारणेंद्राः शृंगैर्विहीना इव गोवृषाश्च

kāvye nigīrṇe girijeśvareṇa daityā jayāśā rahitā babhūvuḥ | hastairvimuktā iva vāraṇeṃdrāḥ śṛṃgairvihīnā iva govṛṣāśca

เมื่อกาวยะถูกคิริเชศวร (พระศิวะ) กลืนลงไป เหล่าไทตยะก็สิ้นความหวังแห่งชัยชนะ—ดุจช้างเจ้าป่าที่ไร้งวง หรือดุจโคและกระทิงที่ไร้เขา
