तदा निजघ्नुगर्रुडं देवाः शस्त्रैरनेकशः । अतीव गरुडो देवैर्बाधितः शस्त्रपाणिभिः

tadā nijaghnugarruḍaṃ devāḥ śastrairanekaśaḥ | atīva garuḍo devairbādhitaḥ śastrapāṇibhiḥ

ครั้งนั้นเหล่าเทพเจ้าก็ฟันและแทงครุฑซ้ำแล้วซ้ำเล่าด้วยศาสตราวุธนานาประการ ครุฑถูกเหล่าเทพผู้ถืออาวุธรุกรานอย่างหนักยิ่ง
