महादेव उवाच । मुने सुचरिताद्य त्वं वरं वरय कांक्षितम् । वरं दातुं तवायातः पुण्येस्मिन्नाश्रमे शुभे । इतीरितो मुनिः प्राह महादेवं दयानिधिम्

มหาเทวะตรัสว่า: “ดูก่อนมุนีสุจริต วันนี้จงเลือกพรที่ปรารถนาเถิด เรามายังอาศรมอันเป็นมงคลและศักดิ์สิทธิ์นี้เพื่อประทานพรแก่เจ้า” เมื่อทรงตรัสดังนี้แล้ว มุนีก็กราบทูลมหาเทวะ ผู้เป็นขุมทรัพย์แห่งกรุณา
