आत्मावलोकनार्थाय शंकरो गिरिजापतिः । ततः सुचरितो विप्राः शंभुना दत्तदृग्द्वयः । आलोक्य परमेशानं प्रतुष्टाव प्रसन्नधीः

ātmāvalokanārthāya śaṃkaro girijāpatiḥ | tataḥ sucarito viprāḥ śaṃbhunā dattadṛgdvayaḥ | ālokya parameśānaṃ pratuṣṭāva prasannadhīḥ

เพื่อให้ได้เห็นพระองค์โดยตรง พระศังกร ผู้เป็นสวามีแห่งคิริชา จึง—โอ้พราหมณ์ทั้งหลาย—ประทานดวงตาคู่หนึ่งแก่สุจริต ตามที่พระศัมภูประทานไว้ เมื่อได้เห็นพระปรเมศวรแล้ว ผู้มีปัญญาสงบผู้นั้นก็สรรเสริญด้วยความปีติยินดี
