Tirtha: Śaṅkhatīrtha
Type: ghat
Listener: Ṛṣis (frame)
Scene: A remorseful pilgrim enters the water at a conch-associated tīrtha; behind him appear symbolic figures of mother, father, and guru, initially shadowed by neglect, then illuminated as the pilgrim emerges purified.
Even deep moral stains like ingratitude are said to be purified through sincere contact with a powerful tīrtha, while still implying the dharmic ideal of honoring parents and teachers.
Śaṅkhatīrtha (implied by immediate context in Adhyāya 25).
Majjana—mere immersion/bathing in the tīrtha.
