भृगुर्वै वारुणिः पूर्वं वरुणं पितरं शुक । बुद्धिशुद्धिप्रदोपायमपृच्छत्पावनं शुभम् । प्रोवाच वरुणस्तस्मै बुद्धिशुद्धिप्रदं शुभम्
bhṛgurvai vāruṇiḥ pūrvaṃ varuṇaṃ pitaraṃ śuka | buddhiśuddhipradopāyamapṛcchatpāvanaṃ śubham | provāca varuṇastasmai buddhiśuddhipradaṃ śubham
โอ้ศุกะ กาลก่อน ภฤคุ วารุณีได้ทูลถามพระบิดา วรุณะ ถึงวิธีอันบริสุทธิ์และเป็นมงคลที่ประทานความผ่องใสแห่งปัญญา แล้ววรุณะจึงกล่าวบอกแก่เขาถึงวิธีมงคลนั้นซึ่งให้ความบริสุทธิ์แห่งปัญญา
