व्यास उवाच । तथेत्युक्त्वा तु सा देवी प्रहस्य कुलदेवता । वधोपायं विचिंत्यास्य भक्तानां रक्षणाय वै
vyāsa uvāca | tathetyuktvā tu sā devī prahasya kuladevatā | vadhopāyaṃ viciṃtyāsya bhaktānāṃ rakṣaṇāya vai
วยาสกล่าวว่า “ครั้นตรัสว่า ‘ตถาสตु—เป็นดังนั้น’ แล้ว เทวีผู้เป็นกุลเทวตาได้แย้มสรวล และใคร่ครวญอุบายเพื่อสังหารมัน เพื่อคุ้มครองเหล่าภักตะของนาง”
