होता॑ यक्षत्स॒मिधेन्द्र॑मि॒डस्प॒दे नाभा॑ पृथि॒व्या अधि॑ । दि॒वो वर्ष्म॒न्त्समि॑ध्यत॒ ओजि॑ष्ठश्चर्षणी॒सहां॒ वेत्वाज्य॑स्य॒ होत॒र्यज॑

Transliteration

hótā yakṣat samídhéndram iḍás-páde nā́bhā pṛthivyā́ ádhi | divó várṣman samídhyata ójiṣṭhaś carṣaṇī-sáhāṁ vétv ā́jyasya hótar yája

Translation

ขอให้โหตฤ (Hotṛ) บูชาอินทร (Indra) ด้วยฟืนก่อไฟ ณ ที่ประทับของอิฑา (Iḍā) บนสะดือแห่งแผ่นดิน; ณ ยอดแห่งฟ้า ขอให้ไฟถูกจุดให้ลุกโพลง. ผู้ทรงพลังยิ่ง ผู้เกื้อหนุนหมู่ชน—ขอให้ท่านเสด็จมาสู่เครื่องบูชาด้วยเนยใส (ghee). โหตฤเอ๋ย จงบูชายัญเถิด.
