सिन्धो॑रिव प्राध्व॒ने शू॑घ॒नासो॒ वात॑प्रमियः पतयन्ति य॒ह्वाः । घृ॒तस्य॒ धारा॑ अरु॒षो न वा॒जी काष्ठा॑ भि॒न्दन्नू॒र्मिभि॒: पिन्व॑मानः

Transliteration

síndhor iva prādhváne śū́ghanāso vā́ta-pramiyáḥ patayanti yahvā́ḥ | ghṛtásya dhā́rā aruṣó ná vājī kā́ṣṭhā bhindánn ū́rmibhiḥ pínvamānaḥ ||

Translation

ดุจกระแสน้ำแห่งสินธุ (Sindhu) ในทางที่มุ่งไปข้างหน้า มีหน้ากระชั้นรวดเร็ว ถูกลมขับเคลื่อน เหล่าผู้ทรงพลังพุ่งทะยานไป. สายธารแห่งฆฤตะ (ghṛta; เนยใส) — ดุจม้าศึกสีแดงเรื่อ — ทะลวงขอบเขตให้แตก พองเต็มด้วยคลื่น แล้วเร่งรุดไปข้างหน้า.
