FAQs

It teaches that devotion becomes tangible through sacred, pure, and fragrant offerings—external upachāras that express inner reverence to Pati (Śiva), helping the worshipper refine intention and approach grace (anugraha).

These are classic ritual articles used in saguna-upāsanā of Śiva, especially in Liṅga-pūjā—adorning and honoring the manifest symbol so the mind steadies and devotion matures toward the Supreme.

Perform Śiva upachāra-pūjā by offering flowers, gandha (sandal/agaru paste), and dīpa/arghya-style items like camphor and tāmbūla, while maintaining mantra-japa (commonly the Pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with a focused, purified mind.
