गुर्वनुज्ञाविरहितं चोरवत्सकलं भवेत् । गुरोरपि विशेषज्ञं यत्नाद्गृह्णीत वै गुरुम्

gurvanujñāvirahitaṃ coravatsakalaṃ bhavet | gurorapi viśeṣajñaṃ yatnādgṛhṇīta vai gurum

Translation

การประกอบกิจอันศักดิ์สิทธิ์ใดๆ โดยปราศจากอนุญาตจากครูบาอาจารย์ ย่อมมัวหมองสิ้นเชิงดุจการลักขโมย. เพราะฉะนั้นพึงเพียรพยายามเลือกน้อมรับครูผู้รอบรู้จำเพาะทางและมีวิจารณญาณ แม้ท่ามกลางครูทั้งหลาย.
