Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Significance: Turns the whole lifespan into a continuous ‘kṣetra’ of remembrance; aligns with the Siddhānta ideal of uninterrupted Śiva-smaraṇa culminating in liberating knowledge.
Role: teaching
It teaches uninterrupted Śiva-smaraṇa—uniting correct knowledge (śiva-jñāna) with steady meditation (śiva-dhyāna)—so the entire life becomes a sādhana leading toward liberation under Śiva’s grace.
Continuous contemplation can be anchored in saguna upāsanā—such as worshiping the Śiva-liṅga as the compassionate manifest support—while the inner aim matures into śiva-jñāna, recognizing Śiva as the supreme Pati beyond bondage.
A practical takeaway is daily japa and remembrance from waking onward—especially pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with mental dhyāna on Śiva—maintaining Śiva-cintā throughout one’s activities.
