Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Significance: Frames liṅga-pūjā as a graded (krameṇa) path culminating in sāyujya; supports the pan-Indian liṅga-kṣetra ethos where worship leads to liberation.
Type: stotra
Offering: pushpa
It affirms that sāyujya—intimate union with Lord Śiva—is the culmination taught by Vedic–Āgamic authorities, and that liberation unfolds progressively through disciplined Śaiva worship rather than as a random event.
The verse explicitly states that worship ‘beginning with the Liṅga’ is an effective means: through saguna upāsanā (devotional, form-based worship) the devotee is led step-by-step toward the highest realization of Śiva.
Regular Liṅga-pūjā in accordance with Śaiva Āgamas—supported by mantra-japa (especially the Pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”)—is implied as the steady practice through which liberation matures in due order.
