It teaches that sacred knowledge is received through humility and inner purity—when the mind is serene (suprasanna), honoring the teacher and the tradition becomes a doorway to Shiva-tattva and liberation.
The verse highlights yathāvidhi—worship done according to right method and devotion. In Shaiva practice, the same principle applies to Linga-puja: correct rites joined with a calm, devoted mind are considered most fruitful.
Maintain a composed, sattvic mind before worship, then perform respectful reception and puja as prescribed—such as offering water, seat, and words of honor to the teacher or sacred guest, aligning outer ritual with inner reverence.
