FAQs

It establishes Shiva as the supreme Lord (Pati) who manifests the cosmos in creation and withdraws it in dissolution, teaching that all beings and experiences ultimately depend on Him and return to Him.

The Linga symbolizes Shiva as the transcendent ground in whom creation appears and into whom it dissolves; worship of Saguna Shiva trains the mind to recognize that all forms arise from and subside into the one Lord.

Meditate on Shiva as the inner support of arising and ceasing—japa of the Panchakshara ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya") with awareness that thoughts, like worlds, emerge and dissolve in Him.
