Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: teaching
It teaches the Shaiva Siddhanta view that the universe functions by Shiva’s impulse, yet Shiva (Pati) remains untouched by confusion; Shakti operates as His governing ordinance, regulating pasha-bound beings without binding the Lord.
Linga worship contemplates Shiva as the transcendent, undeluded Pati, while also honoring His manifest governance through Shakti; thus the devotee learns to see cosmic order as Shiva’s presence without reducing Him to worldly change.
Meditate on Shiva as the steady witness beyond delusion while repeating the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), aligning one’s mind with divine ājñā (inner discipline) and offering actions as regulated by Shakti rather than ego.
