Type: rudram
Offering: dhupa
Cosmic Event: A prolonged satra spanning a thousand divine years (deva-kāla scale)
It highlights that sustained sacred discipline—spanning even “divine time”—bears fruit, and that mantra-yoga has real efficacy to move and purify the life-force (Vāyu), aligning it toward a sanctified goal in the Shaiva path.
In Shaiva Siddhanta, mantra-yoga is a primary means to approach Saguna Shiva (worshipful Lord with attributes) through regulated rites and inner recitation; the satra’s culmination suggests ripening of practice that leads the devotee’s prana toward Shiva-oriented worship and realization.
Consistent mantra-japa and disciplined ritual observance (yajna/vrata), treating mantra as yoga—steady repetition with purity, focus, and breath-regulation—so that prana (vayu) becomes directed and spiritually refined.
