Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Type: stotra
Role: creative
Cosmic Event: kalpa-level hierarchy: all beings as attendants under the imperishable Lord
The verse establishes Pati (the Supreme Lord) as imperishable and the ultimate source, teaching that liberation arises through recognizing one’s true position as His dependent servant (kaiṅkarya) rather than as an independent agent bound by pāśa (bondage).
By affirming Shiva as the supreme Lord whom all beings serve, it supports Saguna worship—especially of the Shiva-Linga—as a concrete focus for devotion and surrender, through which the soul aligns with Pati and transcends bondage.
Adopt the attitude of kaiṅkarya (humble service) in daily Shiva worship: japa of the Panchakshara “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” offering water and bilva to the Linga, and maintaining purity with Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) as a reminder of dependence on Shiva.
