Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Rudra
Sthala Purana: Nārada conveys the factual sequence of Dakṣa’s exclusion; Satī (Rudrāṇī) approaches Rudra to report—this is the narrative hinge where divine response (grace or corrective dissolution) becomes imminent.
Significance: Models dharmic communication: hearing reliable testimony (āpta-vākya) and placing the matter before Śiva; encourages devotees to seek Śiva’s anugraha amid insult and conflict.
Shakti Form: Satī
Role: teaching
It highlights śravaṇa (reverent listening) and immediate turning toward Pati (Śiva) as the supreme refuge—Rudrāṇī hears the truth and proceeds to Rudra, modeling devotion guided by right counsel.
Rudrāṇī’s approach to Rudra reflects Saguna-upāsanā—relating to Śiva as the personal Lord who receives prayer, report, and surrender; this is the devotional posture that also underlies Linga-worship as accessible divine presence.
The implied practice is śravaṇa and nivedana: hear sacred instruction from a realized messenger (like Nārada), then offer it inwardly to Śiva through japa of “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” and a brief mental submission of one’s situation at the Lord’s feet.
