ukteṣvapi ca sarveṣu śṛṇvatāṃ vo vaco mama | kimihāsti phalaṃ tasmānna pṛthakvaktumutsahe
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Type: stotra
Role: teaching
The verse emphasizes that in profound Shaiva teachings, the highest “fruit” is not a separate worldly reward but the inner transformation that culminates in Shiva’s grace (anugraha) and liberation (moksha).
It frames devotion and listening to Shiva’s glory as intrinsically meritorious: when Linga-worship and Shiva-katha are done with faith, the practice itself ripens into devotion and knowledge, rather than being pursued merely for enumerated external results.
The implied practice is attentive śravaṇa (devout listening) and mananā (reflection) on Shiva-tattva; it supports steady japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and contemplative absorption aimed at grace and freedom.
