FAQs

It teaches that praise (stotra) is a direct mode of approaching Īśvara: just as the Śrutis honored Shiva at creation’s dawn, devotees and devas invoke His grace at the dawn of daily life—signifying renewed awakening of consciousness toward Pati.

Waking the Lord with hymns reflects Saguna-upāsanā—relating to Shiva as the gracious, hearer of praise. In Linga worship, morning stotras and āratī similarly ‘awaken’ the presence of Īśvara, making devotion steady and intimate.

Perform prātaḥ-kāla (dawn) Shiva worship: recite Shiva-stotras or the Panchākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” ideally with vibhūti (tripuṇḍra) and rudrākṣa, offering the mind’s awakening to Shiva.
