(Bhairavāvatāra-varṇanam) — “Description of the Descent/Manifestation of Bhairava”
yajurveda uvāca | yo yajñairakhilairīśo yogena ca samijyate | yena pramāṇaṃ khalu nassa ekaḥ sarvvadṛk chivaḥ
Yajurveda (personified as a Veda praising Shiva)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Īśāna
Type: stotra
Role: teaching
Offering: naivedya
It declares Śiva as the single, all-seeing Supreme (Pati) who is both the goal of ritual action (yajña) and inner discipline (yoga), and as the ultimate pramāṇa—ground of true knowledge and liberation.
By affirming that the same Lord is approached through outer worship and inner yoga, it supports Saguna worship (such as Linga-pūjā with offerings) as a valid path that culminates in direct recognition of Śiva’s supreme reality.
It points to a combined approach: yajña-like disciplined worship (pūjā with mantra and offerings) together with yoga—steady meditation on Śiva, ideally supported by japa of the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya).
