ऋग्वेद उवाच । यदन्तस्स्थानि भूतानि यतस्सर्व्वम्प्रवर्त्तते । यदाहुः परमन्तत्त्वं स रुद्रस्त्वेक एव हि

ฤคเวทกล่าวว่า “ผู้ซึ่งสรรพสัตว์ทั้งปวงสถิตอยู่ภายใน ผู้ซึ่งจักรวาลทั้งมวลดำเนินออกมาจากพระองค์ และผู้ที่บัณฑิตประกาศว่าเป็นสัจธรรมสูงสุด—พระองค์นั้นแลคือพระรุทระเพียงองค์เดียว เป็นเอกะโดยแท้”

It identifies Rudra (Śiva) as the one supreme tattva—both the inner support of all beings and the source from which the cosmos functions—guiding the seeker to single-pointed devotion and realization of Pati, the Highest.

Though Rudra is declared the supreme Reality (parama-tattva), devotees approach Him through Saguna forms—especially the Śiva-liṅga—as a concrete focus for worship that leads the mind toward the One who pervades all within.
