Arjuna’s Mantra-Empowerment and the Pāṇḍavas’ Separation (Śiva-rūpa through Mantra)
dhairyaṃ dhārya sādhakena sarvathā rakṣakaḥ śivaḥ | saṃpattīśca phalantulyaṃ dāsyate nātra saṃśayaḥ

It teaches that perseverance and inner steadiness are essential in sādhanā, because Śiva (Pati) safeguards the aspirant and grants results according to effort and sincerity, culminating in spiritual upliftment.
By affirming Śiva as an active Protector and Giver of fruits, it supports Saguna worship—such as Linga-pūjā—where the devotee relies on Śiva’s grace while continuing disciplined practice.
The implied practice is steady daily sādhanā—such as japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), Linga worship, and maintaining dhairya (patient resolve) until the fruits of practice mature.
