व्यास उवाच । श्रूयताम्पाण्डवास्सर्वे कथयामि हितं सदा । शिवं सर्वं परं दृष्ट्वा परं ब्रह्म सताङ्गतिम्

vyāsa uvāca | śrūyatāmpāṇḍavāssarve kathayāmi hitaṃ sadā | śivaṃ sarvaṃ paraṃ dṛṣṭvā paraṃ brahma satāṅgatim

วยาสะกล่าวว่า “โอ้เหล่าปาณฑพทั้งหลาย จงฟังให้พร้อมกัน เราจักกล่าวถ้อยคำอันเป็นมงคลเสมอ เมื่อประจักษ์ว่าพระศิวะเป็นสรรพสิ่งและเป็นผู้สูงสุดแล้ว จงรู้ว่า พระองค์คือพรหมันสูงสุด เป็นที่พึ่งและจุดหมายสุดท้ายของผู้ทรงธรรม”
