शुक्रोत्पत्तिः तथा महेश्वरदर्शनम् (Śukra’s Emergence and the Vision of Maheśvara)
īśvara uvāca | bho bho daityendratuṣṭo'smi damena niyamena ca | śauryeṇa tava dhairyeṇa varaṃ varaya suvrata
Lord Shiva (Īśvara)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Ishana
Role: teaching
The verse highlights that Lord Śiva responds to inner virtues—self-restraint (dama), disciplined observance (niyama), courage (dhairya), and valor—showing that divine grace can be drawn by sincere tapas and steadiness, not merely by birth or status.
Īśvara here acts as Saguna Śiva—the personal Lord who engages with devotees and grants fruits. The verse reflects the Purāṇic principle that worship and discipline offered to Śiva (often through Linga-upāsanā and vrata) culminate in His direct favor and boons.
The implied practice is cultivating yama-niyama-like disciplines—especially dama (sense-control) and niyama (regular vows/observances)—supported by steady devotion to Śiva, such as daily japa of “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” and vrata-based worship done with courage and constancy.
