The verse contrasts the splendor of many celestial realms with the reality of cosmic conflict, implying that worldly and heavenly wonders are still within saṃsāra; lasting refuge is found in Pati (Śiva), whose hosts uphold dharma against asuric forces.
The Pramathas are Śiva’s gaṇas—agents of Saguna Śiva’s protective grace in the manifest world. Remembering their battle underscores devotion to Śiva’s tangible, worshipful form (including the Liṅga) as the power that subdues adharma.
A practical takeaway is to steady the mind in Śiva-smaraṇa during turmoil—japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with Tripuṇḍra bhasma and/or Rudrākṣa as supports for devotion and protection.
