It highlights the potency of smaraṇa (devotional remembrance): even great cosmic rulers respond instantly when invoked, showing that divine power operates through form (saguna) to restore balance—ultimately under Shiva’s supreme governance in Shaiva understanding.
The devas adopting a specific form underscores that the Absolute is approached through purposeful manifestations. Likewise, the Śiva-liṅga is a saguna support for worship through which devotees focus mind and devotion to reach Shiva’s transcendent reality.
Practice smaraṇa with japa: repeat the Panchākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” while mentally invoking Shiva’s protection; this verse supports the principle that sincere remembrance and mantra-focused attention swiftly align one with divine aid.
