हिरण्यनेत्रस्य तपः — Hiraṇyanetra’s Austerity and the Boon

वेदान्द्विजान्वित्त मदाभिभूतो न मन्यते स्माप्यमरान्गुरूंश्च । रेमे तथा दैवगतो हतायुः स्वस्यैरहोभिर्गमयन्वयश्च

vedāndvijānvitta madābhibhūto na manyate smāpyamarāngurūṃśca | reme tathā daivagato hatāyuḥ svasyairahobhirgamayanvayaśca

เขาถูกความเมามัวแห่งทรัพย์ครอบงำ จึงไม่เคารพพระเวท พราหมณ์ผู้เกิดสองครั้ง เทพทั้งหลาย หรือแม้แต่ครูบาอาจารย์และผู้ใหญ่ ครั้นถูกชะตากรรมผลักดัน อายุขัยร่อยหรอ เขาก็มัวเสพสุข ปล่อยวันคืนผ่านไปและสิ้นเปลืองวัยหนุ่ม
