Sūta Gosvāmin (narrator concluding the chapter to the sages of Naimiṣāraṇya)
Sthala Purana: Colophon verse: closes the chapter on the mutual battle in the Śaṅkhacūḍa-vadha narrative; not a sthala/jyotirliṅga episode.
This is a colophon marking the completion of the chapter; spiritually, it frames the battle narrative as a dharma-teaching where Shiva, as Pati (the Supreme Lord), restores cosmic order and guides devotees toward steadfast devotion.
Though it is a concluding header, it situates the episode within Rudra Saṃhitā where Saguna Shiva’s līlā is narrated—encouraging devotees to worship Shiva with form (including Liṅga worship) while recognizing His supreme lordship behind the events.
No specific rite is prescribed in this colophon; the practical takeaway is to conclude recitation with mindful remembrance of Shiva—optionally ending with japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) as a devotional seal.
