वृन्दोवाच । कृपानिधे मुनिश्रेष्ठ परोपकरणादर । मयि कृत्वा कृपां साधो जीवयैनं मम प्रभुम्
vṛndovāca | kṛpānidhe muniśreṣṭha paropakaraṇādara | mayi kṛtvā kṛpāṃ sādho jīvayainaṃ mama prabhum
วฤนทากล่าวว่า “ข้าแต่ขุมทรัพย์แห่งเมตตา ข้าแต่มุนีผู้ประเสริฐ ผู้ยินดีในการเกื้อกูลผู้อื่น โปรดเมตตาข้าพเจ้าเถิด และขอทรงชุบชีวิตนายของข้าพเจ้าให้กลับคืนมา”

Though the verse addresses a sage, its devotional mood mirrors Saguna Shiva worship—approaching a compassionate, responsive Lord through pleading, reverence, and surrender. In Linga-upāsanā, devotees similarly seek Shiva’s anugraha (bestowing grace) for protection, healing, and renewal of life-force.
The takeaway is prayerful surrender: one may chant the Pañcākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” with a focused request for Shiva’s grace, and support it with sattvic conduct and paropakāra (helping others), which the verse explicitly praises as a saintly virtue.
