FAQs

It shows that even exalted divine figures within the lila respond to threat through protective divine power (antarhāna—becoming hidden), pointing the devotee toward seeking refuge in Pati (Śiva) when fear arises, rather than identifying with helplessness.

In the Yuddha-kathā, danger and protection highlight Saguna Śiva as the accessible Lord who grants śaraṇāgati (refuge). Worship of the Liṅga embodies that same protective presence—steadfast, immediate, and compassionate in संकट.

A practical takeaway is śaraṇāgati with japa of the Pañcākṣarī—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—especially when fear arises; one may also apply Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and hold Rudrākṣa as reminders of Śiva’s protection and inner steadiness.
