The verse highlights tejas (spiritual brilliance) as an outward sign of inner purity and tapas—when the mind is aligned to dharma and devoted to Pati (Śiva), clarity and auspicious power naturally “illumine the directions,” benefiting the whole sacred assembly.
In Shaiva Siddhanta, Saguna worship (such as Linga-pūjā with mantra and offerings) refines the devotee’s consciousness; the described radiance symbolizes the ripening of devotion and discipline that makes one fit to approach Śiva’s grace through sacred forms.
Cultivate tejas through steady japa of the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), regular Linga worship, and sattvic observances; applying Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and maintaining purity of conduct are traditional Shaiva supports for this inner radiance.
