संसारमूलभूतानां पातकानां महामुने । शिवनामकुठारेण विनाशो जायते ध्रुवम्

Nama-japa is a Saguna practice: the devotee approaches Śiva through His accessible form as ‘Śiva’ and through Linga-worship, where the Name, form, and devotion work together to dissolve karmic impurities and turn the mind toward Śiva.
Daily Śiva-nāma japa—especially the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—performed with steadiness and devotion; it may be paired with simple Linga-pūjā and mindful repentance to uproot sin and habitual bondage.
