Sūta Gosvāmin (narrating to the sages at Naimiṣāraṇya, within the Sṛṣṭi-khaṇḍa instruction context)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Īśāna
Significance: Highlights mantra-prārthanā to Īśāna as the inner pivot of pūjā—external offerings are gathered into a single intentional act of supplication for grace.
Type: stotra
Offering: pushpa
It teaches the inner posture of Śaiva worship—devotion expressed through respectful bodily discipline (standing, añjali) and mantra-centered prayer to Īśāna, the gracious Lord who grants auspiciousness and liberation.
The act of holding flowers and praying by mantra reflects standard saguna-upāsanā used in Linga-pūjā: an external offering supports inward remembrance, focusing the mind on Śaṅkara as the accessible form of the Supreme.
Perform mantra-japa while offering flowers, then pause in añjali (joined palms) and re-invoke Īśāna with the same mantra—repeating prayer with renewed attention and reverence.
