Sati (in dialogue within Sati Khanda narrative)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Bhava
Significance: Expresses Śiva as the ‘tāraka’ (ferryman) across saṃsāra—pilgrims approach Śiva-kṣetras seeking saṃtāraṇa (crossing over) through devotion and surrender.
Type: stotra
Shakti Form: Satī
Role: liberating
The verse highlights Shiva’s grace (anugraha): when devotion and divine will align, Maheshvara as Bhava becomes the liberator who ferries the soul beyond samsara’s obstacles toward freedom.
It affirms Saguna Shiva as the compassionate Lord who responds to loving devotion. In Linga worship, this is expressed by approaching Shiva with anuraga (heartfelt bhakti) and trusting his saving grace.
Cultivate anuraga through daily japa of the Panchakshara mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” accompanied by simple Linga-puja (water offering) and remembrance of Shiva as the one who grants deliverance.
