Satī’s Address to Śiva
फणीन्द्रकन्या गिरिकन्यकाश्च या नागकन्याश्च तुरंगमुख्याः । सर्वास्तु तास्ते सततं सहायतां समाचरिष्यंत्यनुमोदविभ्रमैः
phaṇīndrakanyā girikanyakāśca yā nāgakanyāśca turaṃgamukhyāḥ | sarvāstu tāste satataṃ sahāyatāṃ samācariṣyaṃtyanumodavibhramaiḥ
ธิดาแห่งพญานาคผู้เป็นจอมงู ธิดาแห่งภูผา เหล่านาคกัญญา และม้าผู้เลิศที่ว่องไว—ทั้งหมดนั้นจักคอยเกื้อกูลท่านเนืองนิตย์ ยินดีตามพระบัญชาและเคลื่อนไหวด้วยความพร้อมอันเปี่ยมปีติ।

Sthala Purana: Lists assisting beings (nāga-kanyās, giri-kanyakās, etc.) who serve in the divine abode; functions as entourage-description, not a liṅga-māhātmya.
Significance: Highlights sevā (assistance/service) as a devotional ideal: all orders of beings find fulfillment in serving the divine will.
Role: nurturing
It highlights the Shaiva ideal that beings aligned with dharma naturally become instruments of the divine will—offering continuous support (satatam sahāyatām) with glad assent, showing that true devotion expresses itself as willing service rather than mere sentiment.
In Saguna Shiva worship, the Lord is approached as the living, responsive Master of the cosmos; this verse mirrors that relationship—devotees and attendant powers respond to Shiva’s purpose with joyful readiness, just as worshippers serve the Linga through pūjā, discipline, and faithful conformity to Shiva’s ordinance.
The takeaway is niṣkāma-sevā (selfless service) supported by steady japa of the Pañcākṣarī—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—cultivating inner readiness to act according to Shiva’s command; where applicable, this is strengthened by Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa as reminders of constant devotion.
