शिवानुकम्पा, ब्रह्मणो निर्भयत्वं च (Śiva’s Compassion and Brahmā’s Fearlessness)
मनुष्याणामिदं कृत्यं यस्माद्वीर्य्यं त्वयाऽधुना । तस्मात्त्वं मानुषो भूत्वा विचरिष्यसि भूतले
manuṣyāṇāmidaṃ kṛtyaṃ yasmādvīryyaṃ tvayā'dhunā | tasmāttvaṃ mānuṣo bhūtvā vicariṣyasi bhūtale
“เพราะในกิจของมนุษย์นี้เจ้าได้แสดงวีรภาพแล้ว บัดนี้เจ้าจักเกิดเป็นมนุษย์และเที่ยวไปบนพื้นพิภพ”
Lord Śiva (as the divine judge/ordainer within the narrative of Satī-khaṇḍa)
Tattva Level: pasha
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
The verse presents Śiva as Pati (the Lord) who governs karma: when power is misapplied in human affairs, the soul/being is directed into human embodiment to experience consequences and learn dharma, moving toward purification.
It highlights Saguna Śiva as the compassionate ruler who administers justice and grace in the world; worship of the Liṅga acknowledges this living governance and seeks alignment with Śiva’s will through devotion and right conduct.
A practical takeaway is to adopt daily Śiva-smaraṇa through the Pañcākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” along with simple Śiva-pūjā (water offering to the Liṅga) to cultivate restraint, accountability, and karmic purification.
