कामप्रादुर्भावः — The Manifestation/Arising of Kāma
ब्रह्मोवाच । शृणु त्वं च मुने सर्वं सतीशिवयशश्शुभम् । पावनं परमं दिव्यं गुह्याद्गुह्यतमं परम्
brahmovāca | śṛṇu tvaṃ ca mune sarvaṃ satīśivayaśaśśubham | pāvanaṃ paramaṃ divyaṃ guhyādguhyatamaṃ param
พรหมาตรัสว่า “ดูก่อนมุนี จงฟังให้ครบถ้วนถึงเกียรติอันเป็นมงคลของสตีและพระศิวะ ซึ่งเป็นสิ่งชำระให้บริสุทธิ์ยิ่ง เป็นทิพย์สูงสุด และเป็นความลับยิ่งกว่าความลับทั้งปวง”

The verse frames Satī–Śiva-kathā as “supremely purifying” and “the highest secret,” indicating that attentive listening (śravaṇa) to the Lord’s sacred narrative is itself a means of inner purification and a doorway to grace (anugraha) in the Shaiva Siddhanta spirit.
By calling the glory of Satī and Śiva “divine” and “most secret,” the text points to Saguna devotion—approaching Śiva through revered forms, names, and stories. Such hearing naturally supports Linga-worship as a concrete, devotional focus that carries the ‘hidden’ spiritual truth into daily practice.
The direct practice implied is śravaṇa—listening with reverence to Shiva Purana recitation. As a simple takeaway, one may hear/recite this section after offering water to the Shiva Linga and mentally repeat the Panchakshara mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” to internalize the purifying teaching.
