The three gods (Trimūrti: Brahmā, Viṣṇu, and Rudra) addressing Lord Śiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Cosmic Event: cyclic kalpa-level repetition implied by 'punaḥ punaḥ'
It establishes Śiva as the supreme Pati (Lord) whose will governs the cosmic functions—creation, preservation, and dissolution—performed by the three deities, emphasizing surrender to Śiva’s ordinance as the basis of spiritual order.
By calling Him “Śiva-rūpa” and placing all cosmic activity under His command, the verse supports Saguna worship (including Liṅga worship) as devotion to the visible symbol of the supreme controller who empowers all divine functions.
The takeaway is ajñā-anusandhāna—aligning one’s actions with Śiva’s will—practically expressed through daily japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and offering reverent worship to the Śiva-liṅga with a spirit of obedience and surrender.
