The verse highlights the auspicious power of darśana (sacred seeing): Satī’s radiant presence naturally awakens joy and devotion in the community, indicating how proximity to the divine (Śiva-śakti) purifies and elevates the mind toward bhakti.
Though the Liṅga is not named here, the response to Satī’s form reflects Saguna devotion—reverence to the manifest, grace-filled presence of the divine. In Shaiva practice, such uplifting darśana supports Liṅga-worship by turning ordinary attention into reverent contemplation.
A practical takeaway is to cultivate darśana-bhāva: begin worship with a focused, joyful gaze on the Liṅga or Śiva’s icon, followed by japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) to stabilize the uplifted mind.
