The verse highlights bhakti expressed through humility—darśana (seeing the Divine), namaskāra (bowing), and añjali (folded hands). In Shaiva understanding, sincere reverence to the Divine Mother supports inner purification and prepares the devotee for Shiva-tattva realization.
Although the verse centers on Devī (Satī/Jagadambikā), the Sati Khanda frames her as inseparable from Shiva’s saguna manifestation and grace. Respectful stuti and pranāma mirror the devotee’s approach to Shiva in Linga worship—devotion first, then deeper contemplation.
Practice añjali-mudrā and namaskāra before the deity, followed by stuti (praise) with focused mind. As a Shaiva takeaway, this can be paired with quiet japa of “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” to stabilize devotion and attention.
