It highlights how the Divine Mother can operate through the inner mind (antaḥkaraṇa), revealing that worldly pride and inner agitation arise when consciousness is not aligned with devotion to Pati (Śiva).
In the Satī narrative, devotion to Śiva’s saguna presence (and reverence to the Liṅga as His sacred emblem) is contrasted with Dakṣa’s inner resistance; the verse shows the mind as the primary field where acceptance or rejection of Śiva’s worship is formed.
Mind-purification through japa of the Pañcākṣarī ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya") with humility, along with Śiva-dhyāna; this counters pride and steadies the mind where divine grace is to be received.
