Brahma
Tattva Level: pasha
Role: creative
It frames creation as dharma-governed: even powerful beings like Brahmā act under ordained order, reminding the seeker that desire and worldly activity must be disciplined by right conduct, ultimately supporting the soul’s gradual purification toward Śiva.
Though not directly about Liṅga worship, it sets the cosmic background in which Saguna Śiva’s play unfolds—creation proceeds by lawful order, while devotion to Śiva (as Pati) is the higher means by which the bound soul (paśu) transcends worldly bonds (pāśa).
The takeaway is dharmic restraint: householders should sanctify married life with purity and remembrance of Śiva—daily japa of the Pañcākṣarī ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya") and simple Śiva-pūjā are aligned supports, even when the verse itself does not prescribe a specific rite.
