FAQs

The verse highlights the sovereignty of Śiva-Śakti over perception: the Jagadambikā can appear, instruct, and then withdraw from sight, reminding seekers that the Divine is not limited to sensory visibility and is realized through grace, devotion, and inner discernment.

Just as the Goddess withdraws after revealing her intent, Saguna worship (including Linga worship) trains the mind to recognize the Divine presence even when not outwardly manifest; the form supports devotion, while the truth of Śiva-Śakti ultimately transcends mere external seeing.

A practical takeaway is to continue japa of the Panchākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and maintain steady bhakti after a powerful experience—without clinging to visions—anchoring the mind in remembrance (smaraṇa) and inner worship.
