The verse affirms Gaurī’s divine stature: she is not merely a human maiden but the manifest Śakti of Śiva, destined to be revered even by the highest devas. In Shaiva understanding, honoring Gaurī points to honoring the inseparable power through which Śiva’s grace and liberation operate.
Linga worship centers on Saguna Śiva as the accessible form of the Supreme; this verse complements that by showing that Śiva’s worship is naturally accompanied by reverence to Gaurī (Śakti). In temple and household practice, devotion to Śiva-Linga is traditionally paired with honoring the Divine Mother, reflecting their non-separation.
A practical takeaway is Śiva–Śakti bhakti: worship Śiva with the Pañcākṣarī mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) while offering respectful remembrance of Gaurī (e.g., as Gaurī/Girijā). If following Shiva Purana-style observance, one may add simple purity disciplines such as bhasma (tripuṇḍra) and japa with devotion.
