The verse highlights the external Shaiva emblems—rudrākṣa and sacred ash—as visible signs of inner devotion, purity, and alignment with Shiva-tattva, supporting a life oriented to bhakti and liberation.
Rudrākṣa and bhasma are classic aids of Saguna Shiva worship, commonly used while performing pūjā to the Liṅga—reminding the devotee of Shiva’s grace, detachment, and the sanctity of disciplined devotion.
Adopt Shaiva observances such as wearing rudrākṣa, applying sacred ash (often as tripuṇḍra), and maintaining devotional discipline—ideally alongside japa of the Pañcākṣarī mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) during daily worship.
