Himavān’s Auspicious Festival Preparations and City Adornment
मालतीमाल्यसंयुक्तं लसत्तोरणसुप्रभम् । शोभितम्मंगलद्रव्यैश्चतुर्दिक्षु स्थितैश्शुभैः
mālatīmālyasaṃyuktaṃ lasattoraṇasuprabham | śobhitammaṃgaladravyaiścaturdikṣu sthitaiśśubhaiḥ
สถานที่นั้นประดับด้วยพวงมาลัยดอกมาลตี มีซุ้มธงและซุ้มประตูส่องประกายงดงาม ในทั้งสี่ทิศได้จัดวางเครื่องมงคลอันศักดิ์สิทธิ์ไว้ จึงแลดูรุ่งเรืองสมควรแก่การบูชาพระศิวะผู้เป็นมงคลยิ่ง।

It describes the proper embellishment of the worship setting, a key feature of Saguna upāsanā where the Liṅga or Śiva’s presence is honored through visible offerings and sanctified arrangement, focusing the mind on Śiva’s auspiciousness.
Prepare a clean worship space, decorate with fragrant flowers and auspicious items in the four directions, then perform Śiva-pūjā with mantra-japa (especially the Pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) to steady attention and devotion.
