Cosmic Event: Brahmāṇḍa (cosmic egg) as the ordered field in which Śakti pervades jīvas and jagat and performs universal nourishment.
The verse teaches that the Divine Mother (Śakti), inseparable from Śiva, pervades the cosmos and every being as the sustaining power. In Shaiva Siddhānta terms, this points to the Lord’s grace operating through Śakti to uphold life and guide souls toward liberation.
Liṅga worship honors Śiva as the supreme Pati, while this verse highlights His inseparable Śakti as the nourishing, immanent power within creation. Thus, worship of the Liṅga with devotion to Śiva-Śakti recognizes both transcendence (Śiva) and immanence (Śakti) in Saguna upāsanā.
A practical takeaway is to perform Śiva-pūjā with Śakti-bhāva—offering water, bilva leaves, and reciting the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” while meditating that the same divine power sustains all beings from the highest to the smallest.
